Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Technical Artist to join our team. As the Lead Technical Artist, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between art and engineering, ensuring that our games look visually stunning while maintaining optimal performance. You will work closely with the art and engineering teams to develop and implement tools, workflows, and pipelines that enhance the visual quality and efficiency of our game development process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tools, scripts, and workflows to improve the efficiency and quality of art production
  • Collaborate with artists and engineers to optimize art assets for performance on mobile devices
  • Create shaders and special effects to enhance the visual quality of our games.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to artists on best practices for asset creation and optimization
  • Work with the engineering team to integrate new tools and technologies into the art pipeline
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the art production process
  • Lead and mentor a team of artists, providing guidance and support to help them grow and excel in their roles.
  • Collaborate with the art and engineering leads to establish and maintain technical standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Expert in modelling and art tools (Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop, etc. ).
  • Experience in a full digital art content creation pipeline (high and low-poly modelling, unwrapping, baking, texturing, level art).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good artistic skills (proportion, color, composition).
  • Ability to work with technical documentation.
  • Experience in building shaders in 3D modeling tools / Unity Game engine.
  • Experience: Experience on at least 3 mobile game titles full life cycle and as an art director on at least 2
  • Ability to optimize art in engine, optimize art pipeline, and create tools to automate manual processes.
